History and Mission

The Czech Heritage Society of Texas was founded October 30, 1982 in Taylor Texas. The mission of the Czech Heritage Society is to preserve and promote the genealogy, history, heritage, culture and language of Czechs and Czech Moravians of Texas.

The Harris County Chapter of the Czech Heritage Society of Texas was organized in 1985 and is a non-profit 501(c)(3) member supported organization.

The Harris County Chapter of the Texas CHS is dedicated to the study and preservation of Czech genealogy, history, culture, and language.
